Stitched together archival ink jet on found library cards, 2026-2027, 12 by 15 inches.
Reported Lost is a series of reprinted images of unnamed/uncited women from archival collections onto found library cards. The work foregrounds gendered anonymity in visual archives. Images in the first two pieces appear courtesy of the Polly Smith Centennial Photographs Collection of the Dallas Historical Society. Needle work (stitching) is used to create a visual and material intervention into the archival image, to mend or repair their erasure by publicizing their photos and hoping that someone will recognize and give name to these women. In turn, their names would be verified by the collection where their images are held, and restore their visibility. Reported Lost uses art to reclaim and reimagine women's histories.
